Two workers were killed while three others were injured when a pillar of an under-construction bridge in Islamabad’s Bhara Kahu area collapsed on Saturday. According to sources, construction work on the bridge was in progress when the pillar collapsed. An operation is underway to evacuate the workers buried under the debris. In a tweet, the Islamabad Police said that two worker were taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), where one succumbed to injuries. Three other workers were taken to Polyclinic Hospital where another succumbed to his injuries.
