Controversy erupts over quiz by COMSATS professor in Islamabad

According to the application, the complainer is a resident of Islamabad’s Chak Shahzad area and also chairman of lawyers’ wing of Pakistan ideological party. He said he was in his office on Monday when he saw a viral social media post about a vulgar question paper which hurt his religious sentiments. A case should be registered against the varsity teacher and he should be punished severely, who has acted against Islamic teachings by adding immoral and obscene questions in the examination paper given to students, the complainant added. The university said in a statement that the professor had been fired and blacklisted after he posted objectionable question which triggered severe backlash from all segments of the society. Also read: COMSATS official gets charge-sheeted for malpractices Ministry of Science and Technology has also taken a notice of the controversial quiz, directing the university administration to hold inquiry into the matter and punish the “unscrupulous officials”. “The content of the quiz is highly objectionable and totally against the curriculum laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and caused unrest amongst the families of the students,” read a letter issued by the ministry.
