The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police along with sensitive agencies arrested an alleged female suicide bomber on Saturday and recovered a suicide jacket from her in the Satellite town area of Quetta. The arrest came a day after heavily-armed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists wearing suicide vests stormed into the Karachi Police Office, martyring two policemen and a Sindh Rangers trooper and injuring 16 others. According to a spokesperson, the CTD Balochistan team along with sensitive agencies conducted a successful operation in an area near the Ladies Park in the provincial capital. Read more: Security forces identify two terrorists involved in Karachi attack He said that the alleged bomber belonged to banned Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) organisation, adding that a suicide jacket loaded with four to five kilograms of explosive material was recovered from her handbag. The spokesperson said that she was planning a bid to attack significant installations or security forces in Quetta, which was foiled by the raiding team. He added that the arrested woman was identified as Mah Pul wife of Bibarg alias Nadeem. Further investigation was underway.
